Due to the sad factor of suicides on this bridge, we were asked to install a suicide prevention netstructure in 2009 on most of the ~360m long bridge.
The existing steel bridge is surrounded by protected historic buildings and it's very limited to additional loads. All fixations had to be removable without damaging the existing structure. These structures represent a high level of structural engineering. Impacts have to be prooven considering the whole structure.
This project was handed over in 2009.
